Ford End children have a full understanding of what Harvest means. They have an abundance of fruit growing in their school field. The children picked fruit from the fruit trees recently and will celebrate thanking God for the Harvest, in Ford End church on 11th October.

The ancient tradition of thanking God for the Harvest has been celebrated since pagan times. Harvest Festivals are normally held near the Sunday of the Harvest Moon, around 23rd September.

However we will continue to enjoy thanking God for the Harvest as we hold our traditional Apple Crumble Afternoon this week in class. Every child will make apple crumble, with Mrs Cluff, our LSA sharing her excellent recipe with every family in our school community.
