Our PTA’s role is to encourage closer links between home and school. All parents are automatically members of Friends of Ford End School (our PTA) and are welcome to attend PTA meetings.

These are both an opportunity to get to know other parents and an opportunity to have your say on future PTA organised events. The activities help to bring our parents together and promote good communication between parents and staff while working towards a common goal.

How is the PTA organised?

Our PTA holds their Annual General Meeting in October, at the start of the school year. At this meeting a Committee is elected to run the PTA – consisting of a Chairperson, a Treasurer, a Secretary and Committee members. Our PTA Committee usually meets once a term and sets up smaller working groups to organise individual events.

How is money raised?

We hold two main events each year – a Christmas Bazaar and a Summer Fayre. Other smaller events include discos, an Easter egg hunt and various after school activities.

We are always looking for new fundraising ideas. Meetings and events are advertised in the Newsletter. If you can help in any way we would be most grateful.

How is money spent?

Funds raised by the PTA are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school’s main income – often ‘fun things’ that make learning more interesting and exciting.

Please contact the school if you would like information on how to help.
