All items should be clearly labelled with the child’s name and be available for use everyday.
School uniform is an important part of school life. It fosters a feeling of belonging in children and gives them pride in their appearance. Most items of school uniform can be purchased from a good clothing store. Jumpers, cardigans, school ties and book bags, which have the school logo embroidered on to them, are available from Smarty Pants School Wear. All uniform including footwear and bags should be clearly labelled.

During the summer we encourage the children to wear hats to protect them from the sun. We have school baseball hats available for purchase in school.
Children are not allowed to wear any jewellery in school, other than a watch.
If your child has pierced ears, sleepers should not be worn in school, small studs only. THIS IS ESSEX COUNTY POLICY. In Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools jewellery must be removed for PE. Taping is not allowed. This means if pupils cannot take earings out they will have to sit out of PE until they can remove their earings. If children are getting their ears pierced it is advised that they do so at the start of the school holidays.
