PE and Sports Premium

What is the Sports Premium?

The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding to spend on improving the quality of sport, PE and physical activity for all their children. In 2019-2020 we received £16,610.

Purpose of funding

Schools have to spend the sport funding on improving their provision of PE and sport as well as increasing the amount of physical activities undertaken by the children, but we have the freedom to choose how we do this.

Sports Premium Funding 2023-24

Following the success of the PE and sports coaching delivered over the previous three years; our teachers are now delivering their own PE lessons. We have, however, retained the services of Premier Sport to deliver after school clubs.
