World Book Day

Although this half-term is relatively short, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! Amongst the array of activities, we enjoyed a jam-packed World Book Day in March, where the children came to school dressed as book characters and prizes were given for the best home-made costumes. Pupils then moved around the classes to listen to teachers reading from their favourite books and we were delighted to welcome a children’s author into school to talk about the inspiration for her writing career. We also had a book-swap, where pre-loved books could be exchanged for new ones. It was a fantastic day!

Here are two costume winners from our EYFS class.
